there's no accounting for taste.
Jun. 19th, 2004 04:04 pmHalf Price Books is awesome. I got four books and a magazine today for less than $9. Two of those books were Baby-Sitters Club books... oh, let me wallow in my nostalgia! I bought #4, and one of the later ones with Abby. I think Abby was my favorite of the girls. I wish she'd had more books.
Anyway, yesterday I rented (and watched) two movies. The first was The Shining, and it succeeded in freaking me out. Jack Nicolson is a CREEPY dude. Good actor, but he has that demented glint in his eye. I finished that after midnight. Then I just had to watch the other movie, Liberty Heights. I've been meaning to see that movie for FOREVER, because Ben Foster (who will forever be Tucker James to me, sigh) is in it, and recently I found out Adrien Brody's in it, and I couldn't sleep, so I watched it too. It's a really good movie. I almost bought it on video at Half Price today, but my VCR is being screwy, so I didn't. (I put in videos, and all I get is static. I know it's not the videos.... but I'm worried because I have a TV/VCR combo, and if my VCR is broken, I will cry.)
On Thursday I went and saw Tiffany, and we're going to try to see The Chronicles of Riddick Monday or Tuesday. I was trying to rent Pitch Black at Blockbuster when I went yesterday, but the VHS and DVD versions were both checked out. [sighs]
If I have to listen to Ashanti's GRATING voice--speaking OR singing voice--one more time, my ears are going to start bleeding.
