Here's the thing about me and sleeping: I used to be able to go to sleep at like, 1 A.M. and somehow always wake up at 9 A.M. the next morning. I don't know why. I had a great internal clock, I guess.
I really don't like staying up until 1. Well, I don't lately. Mostly I'm just doing stupid stuff, like playing games online or reading around that time. And lately, what happens when I'm up 'til 1 (or 2 sometimes, like last night, when I was reading even though I was totally exhausted), this is what happens in the mornings: I wake up at a reasonable time, then I'm all, "Ah, okay. 9 o'clock. I'll just lay here for a minute more... ZZZZZZZ." The next thing I know, it's noon and I'm pissed off because my brother's gone and done something crazy and I've missed all the morning shows and my chances to go on a leisurely walk or bike ride because by now, it's like ninety-nine degrees in the shade outside.
Last week, I tried going to bed before midnight and I woke up at completely normal times and felt really good. But that lasted all of two wonderful days. After that, I was up 'til 1:30 or something writing something and it just kind of went away.
This week, I resolve to not only go to sleep at a decent time, but I resolve to do at least thirty crunches in under a minute. Which means that I will be well-rested but my (non-existant) abs will be killing me.
