Feb. 21st, 2006 12:11 pmToday I have learned that free food is a gift from God. Not that I didn't know that already, but that fact has just been affirmed.
I got on campus at about 10:20, and I had to go get scantrons. So I'm getting ready to walk to the library to finish studying for my psychology test, and guess what? People in art appreciation (I later learned exactly who they were) are standing in the courtyard, making sandwiches. Seriously. From all different countries. This guy I took a class with last semester gave me a sandwich, and lo, it was good. And then I got strawberry shortcake, and it too was good, and my stomach was very happy.
I eventually got to the library and as the time for class grew nearer, I picked up my things to go. Before going up the stairs, though, I paused at the vending machines because the Twizzlers seemed to be calling out to me. I put my dollar in the machine and hit the selection button, and think, "I know I don't actually need more than one pack of these things, but it'd be cool if it happened." And then another pack falls out, and another. For a second the machine didn't give me any change, so I press the change button and I get the dollar back in quarters.
Yes, this is quite possibly the dorkiest thing ever. But come on! FREE FOOD. And getting a dollar back! How cool is that?
