Let's see: outside of cleaning, schoolwork (on my first day of spring break, nonetheless!), hanging out with the madre, and making fanart (who said I wasn't a geek?), I have done not a thing today. Oh, and I've spent the past couple of hours reading various blogs, half of which were political, half of which were just funny as all get-out.
And then for some reason I remembered something. Okay, remember how I did that sex ed poll for my research paper last semester? I got a 90 on it. Did anyone actually want to see it? Probably not (not that it's bad or anything, but it's more fun participating in the research than it is to actually read about it), but I feel kinda shar-y for some reason. Heh.
WHY DID I FORGET TO WATCH ALL OF I LOVE TOYS? I couldn't stop giggling. Why wasn't paddle ball on the list? But then, I'm probably one of those two sad kids who liked paddle ball. I got one for Easter one year and I literally couldn't put it down for days. I was trying to get up to 100 hits on it.
I've had random childhood flashbacks since yesterday, don't know why. Like I was remembering the time before Blockbuster and that there was a local video store we used to go to. I remember going there with my dad once, and we got some Disney movie--I want to say Cinderella, but for some reason I remember Lady and the Tramp (only Disney animated movie that features a post-coital scene?)--and I was walking back to the car and I fell and skinned my knees. I remember sitting in the recliner once we got home with big band-aids on my knees and watching the movie. And then someone at
_mygeneration asked about favorite childhood toys and I mentioned Little People and Waffle Blocks. Anyone else remember Waffle Blocks? I used to try to build towers to the ceiling with my Waffle Blocks and my brother's help. Why don't they make those things anymore? I was gonna make a poll with random childhood toys, but not now...
How come most playgrounds now don't have swing sets? That's just evil. Swings made recess for me. Yeah, kids broke their arms jummping out of them, but crikey, we still grew up fine!
