DUDE.

Does anyone remember that movie First Kid? It came out in like... '95/'96 and had Sinbad as the Secret Service agent assigned to the President's kid, since he was this unholy terror, and there were these various subplots (like how he liked this one girl and he danced with her at this school dance to "I Can Love You Like That" by All-4-One, and he got bullied by Zachary Ty Bryan, who was the oldest brother on Home Improvement, and he chatted with some guy in a snake chatroom and the guy turned out to be his former Secret Service agent and he tried to kill him except Sinbad stepped in and took the bullet--yes, I watched that movie a lot growing up, why do you ask?) and mishaps? Ever wonder what happened to that kid?

Wonder no more. For the teel deer crowd: he founded Internet Gaming Entertainment.

To quote Gandhi (the Clone High version, anyway): SAY WHAAAAAAAAAAT?

And while we're still talking about the '90s: remember Dave Holmes? During the first "I Wanna Be a VJ" contest that MTV had (circa 1998), Dave lost to Jesse Camp (the tall, perpetually stoned looking dude with the weird hair), but he still stayed on as a VJ. Well, he has a Tumblr. Finding that made my day on Wednesday (in addition to the fact that I didn't have to work). He was always one of my favorites back in the day, mostly because he knew way, way too much about music, and he also hosted Say What Karaoke, and I desperately wanted to be on that show back when it was on because I thought it was five kinds of awesome.

On a similar note: I know that out of half (okay, maybe closer to slightly more than half) of the people I have friended on Facebook, most of them knew me when I was a kid. If some of them are like me and don't forget details easily, they remember me as I was from the ages of five to thirteen. They remember me toting a toy Snoopy with me and randomly bursting into tears. They remember my Harriet the Spy obsession. They remember the Kevin years and the Michael year, and they remember that the last time they had major contact with me, I obsessively watched TRL and was a diehard BSB/*NSYNC fangirl. I know it's lame, but I hate that they don't know the extent of how much I've changed in ten years. I mean, it's a given--we all grow up, and we are not the same people that we were when we roamed the hallowed halls of our small Catholic school--but at the same time, I am not still mistakenly convinced that I could marry a boy bander, you know?
