Unrelated: I hate registering for classes. It always makes me feel anxious for some reason.

Anyway, I am absolutely dying to try to make this. Microwavable brownies? YES PLZ AND THANK YOU.

For some reason, that made me think of the summer before my junior year of high school. One day my mom decided that she wanted to bake a cake from scratch, so she had me looking up cake recipes online. I'm pretty sure that we made a cake every two weeks that summer. I probably gained ten pounds eating that cake, but it was so worth it. We did cake and frosting from scratch and mmm. Now I want cake.

I was at the library earlier and I almost checked out this booked called The Adoration of Jenna Fox. The basic premise of it is that this girl wakes up after being in a coma for a year and she doesn't remember a thing about her life. The thought of amnesia always has freaked me out. Just the notion of everything that makes you you just disappearing--it's so creepy. Sometimes I think that's why I write so much, because the idea of forgetting scares me. And, well, it's also worse when I consider that my grandma had Alzheimer's, and that is another big ball of scary too.

On less "omg anxiety" provoking things: I want a pair of loafers for some reason, and I cannot find any that I like anywhere. The last time I had loafers, I was about nine and they were black patent leather and shiny, and yes, my mom stuck pennies in them. I also had saddle shoes for a while too, and I was totally surprised whenever I saw a girl come in with her family at work one day, and she was rockin' a pair with her school uniform.

I still have a stack of books that I bought/received as gifts last year that I haven't finished reading. I keep picking them up but either getting distracted or getting a little bored with them. Which sucks, because most of them seem so interesting. I really want to read The Road before seeing the movie, but the lack of quotation marks is driving me up the wall for some reason.

Finally: why must most of my favorite foods contain carbs? I'm about (trying) to eat in moderation (with the exceptions being the end of November through Christmas, since there's Thanksgiving, my birthday, and Christmas all in a matter of six weeks), but I will always drop everything for fries or bread. Half the reason why I like Olive Garden sometimes is because of the breadsticks (the other half? The unlimited salad, nom nom nom). And Chick-Fil-A's waffle fries + me = OTP. Why must potatoes be so delicious?

PS: I am loving my new layout (PURPLE!), but I am not liking that it makes my icons half-sized. Anyone know the CSS I would need to type in to make them full size again?
