A few months ago on Tumblr I mentioned "My Cherie Amour" and I've been listening to it a lot over the past couple of days. To me, this is a Headphones On song, one that can be appreciated in a whole new way when you get to listen to it isolated.
The thing I love about listening to it Headphones On is that you hear every single thing in it more. The opening piano sounds crisper, and the swelling of the strings stirs your heart in a way, and the guitar that kicks in at the second verse just works so much better. And I was listening and I just thought that it all sounded so rich--like eating a really, really delicious piece of cake that seems to wake up every single taste bud in your mouth and your tongue is freaking out, like, "OH MY GOD, THIS IS AMAZING!!!"
Is it weird to feel like that about a song? Is there one that makes you feel like that?
