Feb. 1st, 2011 07:43 pmWe have been frozen in all day. I woke up at six and let Pepper out, and it was sleeting and the wind was blowing like crazy, and she just stood there backed up at the door like she was thinking DO NOT WANT for a few seconds. My classes were canceled and I've been watching all sorts of stupid TV shows and sleeping all day. The temperature went from about 30 around ten o'clock to EIGHTEEN and it's not going to get any warmer tomorrow.
This is worse than the snow we got in 2000 right before we moved, because A.) this is basically a bunch of ice and B.) then, at least it was 28" of snow and that was fun for a few days. This is just cold and ice and utter misery.
Classes have been canceled tomorrow and I haven't heard any news about the event for tomorrow. Thursday the temperature should be in the twenties, and I have to do my first story for reporting. Somewhere in that time I have to get my hair done because my roots are getting to the point where they're super-tangled.
