gonna sell my car and go to Vegas.
Feb. 16th, 2012 10:47 pmI am seriously thinking of applying for an internship with the Emmy Foundation. I have to apply for only one category, and I don't have enough experience right now to apply for Cinematography, or Television Directing or Scriptwriting, but I definitely could go for Casting, Development for Television, Digital Entertainment, Editing, or Episodic Series. I need to pick one of those five and soon, because the application is due on March 15.
I'm looking at other internships, some of which are local, but God, if I could get this internship or one with This American Life, it would be awesome. I feel so caged right now. I have not gone anywhere noteworthy in forever. The only times I've taken an airplane anywhere was when I was going home to visit. I was hoping that at this point in my life I would have gone places and seen things. Even leaving the state for a few months and going someplace that is not North Carolina (much as I love it) would be a relief. Being away from here and doing something that I have a major passion for? Yes, please!
