enamouredthis morning I discovered that one of my best friends from middle school has a GreatestJournal now and she found one of mine. I nearly squealed in the school library.
Because I live near Dallas (and because it's been forty years since), the topic of the week is the fortieth anniversary of JFK's assasination. And because this appeals to the side of me that loves history and conspiracy theories, I am trying to catch all of the specials on it and such. And unlike some kids, I have a certain amount of reverence when I hear adults talking about where they were/what they were doing when it happened. I was even like that as a kid, so I guess it's not just the fact that 9/11 is my Big World Event that I will remember. I guess it's because I fgured that someday I'd have to tell my kids I remembered where I was when such-and-such happened.
And I have SO much English work to catch up on. I so need to do it.
