let's call the whole thing off.
Jul. 31st, 2004 03:13 pmI know it's kind of bad that I don't trust my dad with my digital camera. But he took my mom's camera and ever since he used it, it hasn't worked right. Gah. I'm just easily annoyed because the camera was MY graduation present and my mom paid for the whole thing, and Dad didn't contribute anything.
Over the past two days I've been playing video games on Super Nintendo and Atari. I don't know how to play any game that's older than Nintendo 64. Never learned how to really play the original Playstation. Playstation 2 and XBox frighten me. I am obviously crazy. I did beat my brother at Super Nintendo baseball the other night, and that made him mad because after years and years of him beating me, I WON. Okay, it was only by one point, but still. I beat him.
Gah, I can't believe my paid account runs out in two weeks. I'm so horribly spoiled now. Component + Candice = true love 4 evr.
Looking through catalogs, magazines, and sales ads make me want to make a list of Trends That Need to Die Right Now. The only ones I can think of right now are:
--capri pants. No. More. I'll make a few exceptions but I am SO SICK of them. I was sick of them a year after they became super-popular. On a simular token...
--quarter-length shirts. WHY can't they make more LONG-SLEEVED shirts? I hate these as well, but my vendetta against them is because they, like capris, make my appendages look stumpy. I frankly like to be warm.
--super-short shorts that look like denim panties.
--sweatpants with words on the backside. Ugggh.
--super-short miniskirts with ruffles on the bottom. They were originally cute. Now? Die please, 'k, thanks.
--the "punk" overkill look. In small doses, I can take it. But if you're going full-on, black eyeliner, bondage pants, anarchy wristbands, Converses, and whatever else I'm missing... it's just too much. To me, it's like wearing all leopard print. A big no-no.
(Like I, the queen of t-shirts and jeans, should be talking.)
And then there's the Trends That Should Come Back, which I will list later.

Date: 2004-08-01 08:17 pm (UTC)I ADORE super short mini skirts with ruffles!!!
those are like my favorite ultra girly thing ever.
and I like converse AND leopard print
good thing I don't care what anyone thinks about the way I dress. I'm aparently a big fashion no no!
oh well, i still manage to look cute, despite my lack of whats going on in the fashion world.
ps: i hate capris. probably because I am short and they all look like pants on me.

Date: 2004-08-02 02:03 am (UTC)Since I agree with almost your whole "over it" list...I definitely look forward to this one :D
I have hated the capri pants since they have come out. Ugh :P I kind of want some now (help! I'm falling into their trap! lol), but only because I am sooooo lazy & don't want to always have to shave or just wear pants (cuz I can get too hot with them). Still, I doubt I'll buy them because most pants hardly fit right on me...much less a pair of "pants" without the end of the legs on them :P
