Am typing this from a hotel lobby. The day before the AC guy comes, we finally check into a hotel... whee.
I am done with 3/4ths of my library books. The last one I read was Prep by Curtis Sittenfeld. So many magazines raved about it, and I just thought it was okay. It took me about three days to read it (because I was distracted by the HEAAAAAAAT), and I finished it this afternoon. The first two chapters were kind of blah, then it picked up in the middle, and spun kind of weirdly out of control towards the end. All I have to say is that the guy that the main character clandestinely crushes on for most of the book has the most pretensious name ever: Cross Sugarfield. I mean... who the heck names their child Cross? It's just begging for some serious mockage.
I'm keeping a list of books I've read, as I want to do one of those "50 book challenge" things, and I figure that I probably read about fifty books a year anyway. I'm just keeping track later on. Once I finish the last two, I'll have twenty officially on the list.
The air will HOPEFULLY be fixed by tomorrow. Yay.
