enamouredDear Everybody: I think I have recieved true proof that I am, indeed, my father's daughter. But then, I've known that. I tell horribly bad jokes sometimes, I am easily amused, I love geeky history things, I read a lot, and so on. It's my dad's fault that I like computers. He sat me in front of a Commodore 64 when I was all of three years old. Someday, I am probably going to be using antiquated slang just like my Daddy does, bless his heart.
Never knew that I'd end up reading comic books--err, rather, graphic novels (or whatever you want to call 'em... I am out of the loop, okay?).
So a few weeks ago I went to the library and I checked out volume one of Runaways, and now I'm hooked. I want moooooooooore. And they don't even have the first edition at Barnes and Noble or at Waldenbooks. And then Entertainment Weekly had to go and mention them in their latest issue and now I'm seriously wanting to read more. I really want this edition, if I could find it, even though I've been slightly spoilered for something that happens in the later one.
I would say some more substantial things, but what else should I talk about--how I just spent $170 on books (and once again mention my hatred of buying books for classes)?
Oh yeah: we're getting a recovery disk from Compaq in a few more days and HOPEFULLY I'll be back on my home computer soon, thank God. And hopefully, LJ will finally renew my paid account. That would really be awesome. Really.
And finally: WHOO TONIGHT PRISON BREAK IS ON.
