So, I sent a check to renew my paid account two weeks ago. Thing is, nothing's happened. Right now my userinfo says I have a free account, but all of the paid features are still there: my mood theme's still intact, I still have the "paid account options" box in the upper right hand corner of my update page, and my layout's still one of the paid ones. The only thing is that 12 of my icons have been disabled.

What's up with this? The last two times I sent a check it took between a week and ten days for the things to kick in. It's never taken this long before. :[

Have you checked to see if the check has cleared the bank yet?

Hum, all I know is that mood themes plus layouts etc remain the same even when your account goes back to free - as long as you don't edit anything layout related in any ways. :x

Of US Postal Service I obviously know nothing about. Does LJ have any sort of customer service you could contact?

I agree with the above comment about checking to see if it's cleared yet. Definitely do that first.

If you really want to know when your check gets there next time (and save worry on whether it is lost or not), spend about an extra .45 to get delivery confirmation. It's definitely worth it.

Your stuff will remain in place I believe but they switch you over to Free User options? Like, you keep your layout and moodtheme and whatnot, but if you tried to switch your layout or moodtheme, you can't go back to the Paid User one.

I'd see if the check cleared and then email LJ about it. I think mine took a couple weeks when I paid for my Permanent Account.
