I think that everyone should engage in my finals week tradition--one that I kind of started last year, in going to see a movie during one of your free moments. I went and finally saw Spider-Man 3 and was kind of embarassed that during the first part of it I was all, "Where's Topher?!" I did thouroughly enjoy it, though, even though the ending was kind of blah compared to the first and second ones.

(The first one had one of the most "Hell yeah!"-iest endings ever. Or, at least in my opinion. The second one wasn't half bad either, but mostly I remember being all, "Gee, superhero movie," when my dad dragged the whole family to see it in this tiny little theater in a crappy mall. By the time the credits were rolling I was all, "LET'S WATCH THAT AGAIN.")

Randomly: what is it with guys named Peter who have superpowers, their angst issues, and Emo Bangs? I was seriously thisclose to bursting out laughing at one point because I thought of Peter from Heroes. If you've seen the movie, you know what I'm talking 'bout.

But I mostly come to talk about books!

Masquerade (the sequel to Blue Bloods) is so awesome it hurts. Why are there not more people fangirling the hell out of this series? I mean, it's got everything that should naturally draw a huge squealing fanbase: rich girls, namechecking cool music, fashion, devastatingly handsome male characters, vampires, a really cool way of incorporating history into the vampire mythology in here, and pseudoincest! Come on, people! If you're not sold on Twilight, check this series out.

(I am totally working on a fanmix for the series. I can't think of anything for the cover, though I keep looking up random actors/actresses for the parts. And they're all past the target age too. Crikey.)

I went to the public library and checked out seven books, and learned that I owe them $30. Oops.

Right now I'm almost done reading Noughts and Crosses. It is amazing. I don't even know how to begin to describe it. Basically... imagine race issues inverted, put it in Great Britain, and take the equivalent of the Civil Rights Movement in the US. Mix together with a slight touch of the Romeo and Juliet angle. My description is lame; that is why Amazon has book descriptions with the products. Read it. Seriously.

All the books I've read this year, so far.
