So here I am, back in the hometown. And for the first time ever in my life, I am experiencing serious bouts of motion sickness.
It started on the plane from DFW to Atlanta. I got woozy, but once we landed in Atlanta, I felt a little better. But then it got worse from Atlanta to RDU. Before that, I tried to stop at Starbucks and grab a latte, but they were all out of the kind I usually get, and when I asked for a frappachino, they were out of ice too. So I was annoyed about my coffee craving being quashed. And then once we got in the air... I started to seriously feel woozy and was in dire need of locating the barf bag. I have never been airsick before. I've only flown twice before this, and I just walked away with a mild case of dizzy.
My current motion sickness is due in part to spending most of Sunday and a good chunk of today in a car. I feel okay, but my stomach is doing that odd churning thing and my head hurts. Ugh.
I think that's all for now. I'm going to go and buy a ridiculously overpriced sandwich (I'm using WiFi at Panera) and/or try and see if I can find someone to hang out with. I'm with my mom and my grandma, but, you know--I could totally use the company of someone around the same age as me.
