Sunday night, shuffing through stuff.

enamouredToday made me further stand by my belief that shoe shopping makes people's IQs drop at least twenty-five points, give or take.
Lady in white t-shirt: Excuse me! I saw these boots in the paper, and the tag by them says that they're "as advertised", and I can't find a way to see how much they cost. [opens box, shakes paper tags attached to hunting boots at me] What do I scan?
Me: [points at barcode on the front of the box, as it is facing me] That, under there. [points at customer price check scanner]
Lady in white t-shirt: Oh! [proceeds to try and scan box on the screen that shows you the price]
Me: [sardonically] You scan it on the bottom of that.
Lady in white t-shirt: [genuinely surprised] Oh!
Work has made me like Taylor Swift, and her album has made me like her even more. "Picture to Burn" is excellent.
Wow, the actress who will play Vanessa on Gossip Girl is really, really gorgeous. Except, you know, I doubt she'll have the shaved head/dressed in black going for her. I think her casting is a little odd*, along with whoever they got for Jenny** and to a lesser extent Blake Lively***.
*--then again, I doubt there are many young actresses who will shave their head constantly just for this role.
**--then again, it's hard to find a girl who looks 14/15 who has Jenny's proportions.
***--she's Serena, and while she looks the part, I keep thinking of her only as Bridget from Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
I have about seven or eight albums that I might take someplace to try and get some cash for. And I took all the CD singles off of my CD rack, but now I don't have a box to put them in. Oy.
