The previous eighteen hours of my life were filled with studying Japanese and Chinese art, attempting to memorize names of artists and dynasty names, nearly convincing the dog that I had gone insane, falling asleep at the table while sitting in the computer chair, waking up once every hour between eleven and one in the morning, studying while lying in bed with a still-sleepy Pepper curled up on my hip, pulling on the first thing that wasn't too wrinkled and/or dirty (yellow plaid shirt, black tank top, jeans, Vans--the shoes of champions and people unconcerned with tying laces), drove to campus, and took the test in a haze.

But beside that: I VOTED, YAY and I saw a guy on a golf cart at the drive-through at Burger King.

Last week, after watching this video for the first time in ages, I ripped soulDecision's CD and put it on my Zune. When I was a freshman in high school, that album was up in my favorites (with No Strings Attached, of course). My best friend and I used to joke that the song was "stalking" us because the radio played the hell out of it. Sometimes they would slip up and play the "dirty" version (which featured the lead singer saying "I'm gonna take off all your clothes" instead of "I'm gonna move in nice and close"). What happened to those guys, anyway? (from the comments: "im 22 but this reminds me of when i went skating when i was like uh 14 or something lmaoo". ME TOO, ME TOO.)

Heh. I remember that song! I heard it on some NOW! CD a few months ago and I started singing along, not even realizing I knew the words.

They went on a brief hiatus, then came back plus or minus a member, and with a new acoustic rock flavour that was SO abhorrent to the tastes of discerning pop listeners everywhere. They put out a second album, but it didn't do well, and they broke up afterwards.

I love-love-loved Soul Decision back in 2000. They even opened for NSYNC on the Canadian leg of their tour, I believe, and were on an NSYNC special of some kind. I can't remember the details of said special, except that it possibly involved Chris Kirkpatrick attacking various members of Soul Decision at various points all stealthy and ninja-like.
