Yesterday I went to the mall during my break, even though parking was tight and it was packed everywhere. I got Chick-Fil-A and I was just sitting at my table in the food court watching Misfits on my Zune when this man came up to me and tapped my shoulder.

I took out my headphones and looked up.

He looked like he was in his early forties at the youngest. Had light brown to dirty blond hair. He was smiling.

"The holidays can be kind of busy, huh?" he asked.

I nodded and said, "Yeah." I wondered if he was trying to get me to give him money, or if he was passing out tracts or something. Things like that have happened to me before. One time I bought a set of Disney princess stickers from a group associated with deaf people while I was on break in the food court. So I was expecting more or less of the same from this guy.

Instead, he just said, "Well, I hope you have a merry Christmas," and he held out his hand to me. Folded in between his index finger and his thumb was a $20 bill.

I hesitated. What was he doing?

"I hope you have a merry Christmas," he repeated again, the money still in his palm.

I took his hand and he slipped the money into mine and walked away.

After that, I freaked out for a moment. I wondered what had made this man give me the money. I briefly worried that it was counterfeit and I held the bill up to the light to try to see the watermark. (It was there.)

I finally stopped worrying about it and walked around some.

That is hoenstly one of the strangest encounters I've ever heard of. When do people just randomly pass out money? Maybe when you're being filmed for some prank show it would happen, but he actually just gave it to you and left. That is weird.

I wonder if he did that with anyone else.

Well, I know there are some Santa's walking around randomly handing out money to people. I saw it on the news the other day actually.

This single guy passed out something like $200 dollars to a woman who was just laid off from her job and had two kids, and then gave some thousands more to random strangers on the street.

That man was actually a CIA operative. Embedded in the 20 are codes to Russia's nuclear program. If you don't deliver it to the right authorities by New Year's Day, there will be an attack on the Phillipines.

(Lol, idek, that's bizarre, though.)
