Apr. 29th, 2011 06:32 amPost 2800 (on LJ, at least)!
I wasn't going to say anything about it because like, half my friends list and tons of people on Tumblr were all, "And I'm not watching the royal wedding, bleh", but I kind of wanted to, just because. I think I have vague memories of my mom telling me something about watching Diana and Charles' wedding way back in the day, right? So I set my clock and was going to get up to watch the whole thing... except I slept through the alarms and kept resetting it until I finally got up and was like, Whatever, I'm gonna live stream this.
And while watching the procession, I had a thought: I know that "God Save the Queen" is the same tune as "My Country, 'Tis of Thee" because of the American Girl books. Thank you, Molly McIntyre.
...on the other hand, it seems as if my live stream has frozen. Whoops.

Date: 2011-04-30 01:15 am (UTC)I found out later that the Queen doesn't sing it. This makes me sad. I'd be all over a song I could sing as "God Save Me"
