enamouredI'm starting to get somewhat closer to one of my classmates. I've taken a few classes with Marianne--radio production, electronic news, and both reporting classes. We hang out a bit during reporting, and we even co-anchored one of the newscasts a few weeks ago.
I've mentioned that I have a thing for this guy in reporting, who I have had a class with before. Marianne used to hang out with him a lot. We all think he's kind of obnoxious sometimes but they seem to be friendly, so today I sent Marianne a text message asking her if she knew if he had a girlfriend. She responded that she didn't think so, and asked if I liked him and if he knew.
And, of course, I do, and he doesn't.
Even though we didn't have a particularly successful conversation about the guy, it felt nice to have a friend to tell this stuff to. A friend who I see in person on a fairly steady basis who would get it.
I just want something from a guy. That's all. Is that really so much to ask for?
Other things: I have only $99 to pay off my credit card. YUUSSS. I also really wish I hadn't had to cash all my change last month, I hate having to restart my change bank again.
Yesterday I sold so many Nelson Cruz shirts. I am also somewhat holding out hope that I can somehow get tickets to one of the World Series games in town.
