oh, by gosh, by golly.

Dear Yuletide Writer:
Hi! I hope that my requests haven't sent you running from the room screaming in horror or curled in a little ball on the floor shaking and crying.
To better help you, here's some notes on my prompts, the fandoms, and so on!
The Princess Diaries
Characters: Mia Thermopolis, Michael Moscovitz
Notes: I own all of the main books of the series in hardcover, except for the first one, which is in paperback. I was the same age as Mia when the first one came out, and I loved (and still kind of do) love how she was still this flailing, absolutely normal teenage girl despite the fact that she's royalty, and I really dug how she did manage to grow up some throughout all of the books. ANYWAY. This is pretty much the only request I had a specific plot request for, and that is: ROYAL GENOVIAN WEDDING. I love the idea of epistolary stories, so I'd like press coverage of the upcoming wedding (articles from People! The wedding being a Hot List mention in Entertainment Weekly! That sort of thing), plus Mia's journal entries with expected angst/freakouts, Michael's text transcripts to Lilly or Boris or other friends, that sort of thing! As long as it's entertaining and sweet, I am game. And should you not have anything in mind for that plot, that's okay--anything post Forever Princess would be great!
Pan Am
Characters: Dean Lawrey, Colette Valois
Notes: I've been more or less smitten with Dean and Colette since "We'll Always Have Paris". I like them both individually (Dean is just so charming, and Colette is so personable and adorable), and together, they're absolutely lovely. I don't have anything super-strong in mind as far as plot goes--maybe something with them in Paris, or sightseeing during another trip? Something whimsical and flirty that involves sightseeing and enjoying the local food; also, any interaction with the other ladies would also be great, especially if it involves Maggie, because Maggie is amazing.
Captain America
Characters: Steve Rogers, Peggy Carter
Notes: I WILL TAKE ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING STEVE/PEGGY, OKAY. ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING. I love that Steve likes that Peggy is no-nonsense and strong and smart, and Peggy likes that Steve is earnest and honorable and kind, and I just love their relationship so much, and do you know how hard it is to find quality fic with them? (You probably do; otherwise, you would not have signed up for this challenge and/or gotten this request.) So basically, I want something flirty and almost-but-not-quite leading to something more than just lingering looks. The only concrete detail that I can think of is that I want Peggy to mention her picture being in Steve's compass, because that was adorable.
Once Upon a Time
Characters: Snow White | Mary Margaret Blanchard, Prince "Charming" James | David Nolan, Evil Queen | Regina Mills
Notes: Hello, fairy tale re imagining that is currently eating my brain! Snow and James are two of my favorite characters on the show so far, with the Evil Queen being a very close second. I'm hoping that the Queen has put a bounty out on bandit!Snow's head for some other reason besides simply being prettier, so I would love to see something about/pertaining to that! And, of course, James being his charming self and he and Snow snarking at each other, and the Queen possibly cornering him at some point and Snow rescuing him.
Other things of note: I am enamored of romantic comedy type tropes (meet cutes, snarky banter flirting, one party being slightly less experienced than the other), and comedy/silliness overall. But at the same time I also love drama--just not drama for the sake of drama and angst for the sake of angst (death just so that the characters can be depressed and possibly driven to self-harm or suicide? NO THANKS). I like it when characters sometimes just have conversations, I like friends as supporting characters being goofy and/or hammy, happy (if not just upbeat) endings, referencing little details in canon, and romantic tension that's just about thisclose to being resolved and there's only a faint allusion to it possibly happening later. Ratings-wise, I'd say as long as it's not greater than R, I'm good.
And... I think that's everything! I hope that this is helpful, and that you have an excellent time writing. Thanks!
