we run this city.
Nov. 1st, 2003 03:02 pmbefore I talk about homecoming, can I just say that some people REALLY need to shut up? Ugh. Snotty bitchery is not becoming of anyone.
So! Homecoming! It was substationally shorter than it was last year. That is because we WHUPPED the other team. I am talking taking an early lead and running with it, final score of 55 us, 7 them. It was kind of boring--at least last year it was a bit dramatic.
I'm happy Carey got crowned king. I didn't vote in the deciding elections because I was totally torn between voting for him and Antonio. But it was neat.
One of the cheerleaders who got sent to alternative school for reportedly being one of the girls drinking on the bus for the first game--Jordan--came back and showed up and escorted one of the queen nominees with the other girl's dad. I honestly think she was one of the girls who was drinking, but oh well. She looked really pretty, though--she was wearing this absolutely gorgeous black dress and she looked like Britney Spears on a good night. Gotta love impossibly pretty people. [g]
I ran into Ben, from my French I class last year, and his date. He said he wanted to dress up like Spider-Man but his costume was "a little too revealing." Hee.
And after the band got to sit in the stands, I chatted with Jacob and Graina. (she was in my English class two years ago and I see her 'round lots) They both play trumpet, so they were right next to each other. Jacob kept asking me to play with my flash, and I remembered what he used to do with it last year in history (blind people, basically) and I was just saying, "Oh God!" He flashed people. Multiple times. He is such a big kid it's sad--and cute. Ha. Super Freak or not, I still like him.
And that's it.
I think my mom is getting concerned about me, because she keeps encouraging me to chat up this guy who I suspect has a bit of a crush on me. But he's just... ugh. Not. My. Type. At all. She's rightfully concerned, I suppose, but really...
