I'm gonna get to know you better this Christmas.

All day yesterday (well, PRACTICALLY all day yesterday) I was shopping. I got my dad his present--the movie A Christmas Story on DVD. (that's one of his favorite Christmas movies--it's a traditon in my house to watch it, we've done this basically every year since I was five) I still have to get my brother his gift.

But besides that, I bought more of my own stuff:

--Moulin Rouge movie poster
--The Breakfast Club
--The Very Best of Hall and Oates
--Songs About Jane, Maroon 5
--two pairs of socks from Delia's
--the book Seventeenth Summer (it was onsale at Delia's for $2.99; I couldn't resist)
--a silver purse from Target (it's so glam it's ridiculous)

And I picked up the blazer I'd put on layaway at Torrid. Yaaay. I really can't wait to give my dad the DVD, which makes me impeccably dorky, but I can't wait. Really.

I do feel kind of crappy, though. I'm having girlie health problems, and I'm just not as happy as I've felt the past couple of days. It's just, ugh. This sucks. I don't feel that good. Yeah.

I saw Michael--this guy I had a slight crush on when I was a sophomore--at school at the play on Friday. I had forgotten he'd transferred to the other school. I was just like, "AHHH!" He's still kinda cute, but I realized that he looks a little like a blond Keanu Reeves. Heh.

I think this is it. Yes, it is.

Wait. One last thing. Once again, I have another thing to add to the list of "Where were you when...?" Where was I when I found out about the Sadaam capture? My dad woke me up to get ready for church. I was drowsy, but I could still hear the TV. (I HAVE to have the TV on to sleep.) Then I heard "Sadaam Hussien... capture... blah blah..." and I woke up. "Captured?" I said. "Huh?" So yes. I was half-asleep when I found out. This is less than exciting than where I was when I heard about many other historical events that have littered my young life--oh heck, the events that have littered the past few YEARS.

Yeah, my mom woke me up to tell me and rofl as I always am when I'm sleeping, I was just like "Oh. Okay." and went back to bed, but when I actually WOKE UP, it was much more exciting to me. I am so happy about this!!

9-11 I had woke up for some odd reason early, and I was watching the news, and it was when they still thought it might've been just a plane crash. And then ANOTHER plane crashed through the towers, and I yelled to my mom, and she didn't even believe me! She's like, that can't happen! And so yeah. =\
