Everyone, be proud of me. I have started writing my story for the Seventeen Fiction Contest. Ever since I was fourteen, it's been my goal to enter that contest, or possibly even place in it. And I think my story, though it is random and potentially strange, is good. First good idea for a piece of original fiction I've had in a while.

Anyway, I think my mom may be taking me to Blockbuster to get Sixteen Candles... I hope so... I really want to rent a movie.

I went to Amazon.com and scanned around some and I now have a list of books that are coming out soon that I absolutely must buy. Goooo me!

Cool... what's the story about? Or do you not want to say yet? I used to love reading the winning stories in that contest. There were some good pieces, and I do remember them being "random and strange," as you describe yours, so yours has something in common with past winning stories. :) Seems like a good sign.
