my brain is frozen up.
Jul. 12th, 2004 05:55 pmPlanning a story out mentally is great. In my head, every story I've ever written is much more detailed, well-written and more plot driven than anything I actually sit and type or handwrite. But then I sit down to write everything and it comes out all... flat. Then, of course, there's hitting creative walls, otherwise known as that DEMON called writer's block...
I'm sorry, you say I'm supposed to be sane?
I'm trying to finish this story, and I'm like, stuck. I don't know what's worse: having thirty ideas for your characters or having something great happen to them, and then you don't know what to do with them. I'm going crazy over here. I think this is why I reconsidered being a writer, because too often I remember the crappy parts about writing fiction: writer's block. Trying to come up with great names for your characters (something I take way too seriously.). Constant spellcheck. Worrying if you make sense. Worrying if anyone's going to like it.
Anyway.
