I don't know why I am going to ask this question, but for some reason, I really really want to because I'm interested in the responses.
What song or songs, if any, have made you cry? Why? And, if possible, can you link me to an MP3 of them? It doesn't even have to be a song that makes you cry. It can just be a song that, to you, is really really sad. Still explain to me why it does make you feel low, and link if you can.
My songs, as sad and random as they may be: "Save the Best for Last", Vanessa Williams; "Back to Your Heart", Backstreet Boys; "Ribbon in the Sky", Stevie Wonder; "Goodbye to You", Michelle Branch; "Heart of the Matter", Don Henley; and "Outside", Mariah Carey.

Date: 2004-07-21 01:27 am (UTC)-- "Strong Enough," Sheryl Crow
-- "Hold On," Sarah McLachlan
-- "My Favorite Mistake," Sheryl Crow
-- I second the thoughts on Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks.
-- "Cowboys and Kisses," Anastacia (She needs to be as popular here as she was/is in Europe. She's got a great voice... I think you'd like her.)
-- "Everything You Want," Vertical Horizon
-- "Best I Ever Had," Vertical Horizon
-- "Here's To The Night," Eve 6
-- "Someday We'll Know," Mandy Moore/the guy from that New Radicals group (duet)
I guess for me, I find songs the saddest when I feel like I can relate to them and also when whoever's singing does well with conveying such intense emotion.

Date: 2004-07-21 02:04 am (UTC)And yeah, basically anything Fleetwood Mac is just gah, because there's Stevie/Lindsey angst and Christine/John angst and Stevie/Mick angst and it's just one big lyrical sobfest by the end of the night, with "Don't Stop" stuck in the middle for no good reason.

It's weird because I listened to the song one day and just felt the urge to cry. Maybe because I miss the old days of Nsync? lol, who knows.
