My life is currently being eaten by school, so I have to find my amusement anywhere I can get it. And right now, it is watching the big pot of crazy that is the Battle of the Boy Bands. Some of these brackets are completely nonsensical (really, 98 Degrees against The Beatles? Jodeci vs. Boyz II Men? That is just cruel), and it seemed like a clear cut victory with the Backstreet Boys vs. Westlife (who only had one minor hit Stateside in '00, but apparently they were pretty big back in their native Ireland)... until earlier, when Westlife fans pushed them into at least a ten point lead over Backstreet.

Now it's pretty much a dead heat. I know that this is deeply irrelevant and utterly ridiculous, but I am pretty much going "This is unacceptable" a la Kingsley, because seriously, WESTLIFE? Over BACKSTREET? Okay, judging from comments, Westlife's disbanding after their UK tour, but STILL. IT IS THE PRINCIPLE OF THE THING. One group is disbanding, and the other has been together consistently for NINETEEN YEARS. YEAH.

(This is the part where you all wonder why you even bother with me. I know. I know.)

I only really know Westlife because a friend in college was obsessed with them and shared the wealth (and they were big in Germany when I lived there) What was their hit in the us?
