Johnny Carson died. Totally innapropriate, but why do I keep having a mental image of Jack Nicholson in The Shining chopping down the bathroom door and yelling, "Heeeeere's Johnny!" and looking all menacing and stuff?

My brother's friend is over, and my dad came in a few minutes ago and told me to change pants 'cause I was still in my pajama bottoms. Right, Dad, 'cause flannel Snoopy-print pajama pants are soo indecent. Scandalous!

Someone at church sent my brother and I gift cards to Barnes and Noble. I can't remember who it was, but thankyouthankyouthankyou to them.

More and more I'm becoming convinced I'm like, the only person at TWoP who actually likes Kate on Lost. I might be one of the approximately two people in general who actually likes her. I like that she's sneaky. I like that she's not completely honest. I like that she's always tagging along--'cause honestly? I'd do the same danged thing (I guess that makes me totally annoying, but I just want to know what's going on![/whine]). I like that we're still not completely sure of whatever she did. I LIKE MY SNEAKY PENSIVE OCEAN-STARING FEMALE LEAD, DAMMIT!

I vow from this day forward to not eat fried chicken after eight PM ever again.

Came over here from your link on lost_tv ... you're not alone, I don't see the fuss about Kate either. I quite like her, but I also like Jack and there're lots of people who don't like him, either *shrug*

I'm not the only one! [cheers] I don't mind Jack either, but for some reason, the whole Jack/Kate part of the love triangle (square? no, it's a triangle now) bothers me for some reason. Eh. I'm just weird.

I ran across your post in the vastness of the internet and thought I should post and say that I do like Kate. She is either my favorite character, or at least after Sawyer or Jack. I also like Jack. What a shocker. :) I am not any kind of shipper yet. General relationships are just too fun to speculate about at this point to solidify on anything. I am also a fan of Alias, and my favorite character on that show is Irena Derevko who happens to be a very charming yet devious baddie who I am in awe of in a similar fashion to Kate.

I love the fact Kate isn't good. I was so worried they'd make her a victim or something. I love the tension she always has of being a person who is used to being on the move, yet is now stuck on an island with the same people every single day. She can't run away from her problems or lies anymore. I also love the silly toy plane she found in the box. She seems to be someone on a quest finding clues, following some higher purpose, and not just the average criminal or toy plane collector. I think her storyline will eventually tie in nicely to the larger mystery on the island. We just have to watch and see. :)

So yeah, add me to the short list of Kate fans. If you are ever on the look out for a Kate friendly community to skim, my group on lj, flight_815, is pro-Kate, though we usually talk about all aspects of the show and not just her. I don't go to a lot of communities online for Lost because of all the Kate, Jack, Jin, writers, bashing. I really hope those actors and writers don't read it either. So depressing.
