In probably another week (okay, not a week, per se, but more like a few more weeks--okay, TWO. Definately two), GreatestJournal will have 1 million members. And the only reason there will be a million is because of the friggin' journal hoarders (and the RP'ers, but who's keeping score of that? And how many varaitions of a celebrity's name can you make using just letters, numbers, and underscores? I will totally laugh if I ever see an Orlando Bloom journal like [livejournal.com profile] o_____________b). At least I use all of my journals. And I'm not one of the people who has to change their journal name every month. I quite like having [livejournal.com profile] enamoured over there.

But otherwise: I've been thinking of creating an LJ version of my entertainment-related GJ. Partially because it would be fun, and partly because more people would read it. Seriously. If you don't count the people who have changed journals since I've started (which is equal to half of my GJ friends list), there's only about twenty people actually seeing it. And, you know, it's not about the audience; it's about the expression and having fun, blah blah blah, but I'd like to know that people are actually reading the geeky crap I write, you know? God, my motivations all seem so snotty.

I just figured out that I can touch the tip of my tongue to my chin. Woo for my random talents!

I added you to my friends list. I tried to submit my name to the new friends program you have on your info page but it gave me an error.

I've never tried GJ before. Years ago I was on Diary-x and then I switched to LJ. I like it here.

How do you like tags? You're the first person I've seen use them & seeing it made it easier to understand.

re: tags. I think they're interesting. Though I worry I'm going to want to go back and add tags to all of my entries now! [g]

GJ is like LJ's super-free equivalent. You can upload 2000 icons and things like a photo album and image hosting are free. Though some people worry how long the good stuff's going to last, it's actually kind of cool. But some of the people over there can seem a little, ah, cliquish. I prefer LiveJournal because there's more interesting people over here--and it's more active. GJ's like a vacation home.

I'd love an LJ version of your GJ... I'm a big pop culture whore. :X

Never tried Greatest Journal but I used to have blogger and I still have a Xanga that I never update. I love Livejournal though. Blogger was boring and Xanga, while you could do more things with your site the communites here are so much better!

I have had 3 LiveJournals in almost two years of being here and 1 journal for a role play community. My friend Chris has like 15 livejournals. It's so confusing.

on livejournal i've only had three,
including this one of course.
i just get tired of the names i pick haha.
if you didn't have to pay for the name change here,
i would definitely only have one.
