Jul. 4th, 2005 04:59 pmThings I did in the early morning: laughed my butt off at Chuck Nice's R. Kelly impersonations on the Best Week Ever rerun (I'm talking loud, snorting, trying to stay quiet so no one who might be awake will come running in to see if you're okay because your dumb butt should be asleep laughing), and when I couldn't sleep, I watched Girls Just Want to Have Fun on the Lifetime Movie Channel. Yay for watching cheesy '80s teen movies at 2:50 A.M.!
Maybe this makes me sound old or whatever, but: I really hate the term douche bag when it's used as an insult. And cunt. I don't know why... but it just irks my last nerve.
Is it sad of me to say that my nostalgia might get the best of me and I might watch The Sandlot for the first time in years so I can listen to the Ray Charles version of "America the Beautiful"? 'Cause other than that, I am going to have a low-key Fourth. I'm not really a fireworks kind of girl, so.

Date: 2005-07-05 02:51 pm (UTC)both are EXCELLENT books about femminism, especially Cunt.
I have always had an appreciation for my womanness, but even more so after reading those books.
