Cannot decide if this is a good day or bad day.

Good day: got paid! I feel all proud, as I put $100 into savings.
Bad day: didn't know I was working today. Oy. I don't know what's worse--not knowing you needed to work and not going in and not calling at all, or not knowing you needed to work and going in just to get your check. I feel like the world's biggest moron. [smacks forehead] I need to stop agonizing about it and just not let it happen again, but I feel stupid, y'know?

Um... what else. Oh! Doing the "interest icons" thing again; check [livejournal.com profile] randomfangirl for more info. I'm about 3/5ths of the way through Twilight by Stephanie Meyer (a nearly 500 page YA vampire book, hurrah). Oh, speaking of books: anyone read A Great and Terrible Beauty? That was awesome; I read it a few weeks ago.

The most expensive gas in my area is $2.79. Why are people not outraged yet? That's almost the cost of a Whopper meal! GEEZ.

Before I go to work tomorrow, I am determined to go see Take the Lead. I have to make up for not seeing a movie last month. :[

I finished reading "Twilight" a few weeks ago. I felt like it could have ended like after 200-300 pages. It felt unneccesarily long. I realize it was a YA novel, but it felt way too kiddie for me. I guess I'm finally an adult!

I think $2.79 is cheap for my area. I only know of one place for sure that has it for that price and it's one of the less expensive places. I don't even want to know what it is at Chevron. And it's worse for me because my car uses the high octane gas so $2.99 is about the cheapest I'll be paying for gas. Ugh. That's one of the reason's I haven't left the apartment in a week. lol

I love a Great and Terrible Beauty. It was fabulous. I bought it as an ebook, too, so it was my very first ebook, then I caved and bought the paperback too. Libba Bray's a sweetheart, too. She bought me an amaretto sour so I wouldn't have to ask the bartender for a ginger ale again at the last YA author bar night. :-)
