There is a reason why the many websites I've had since 2000 have had super-simple layouts. For some reason, when it comes to web stuff, I feel like I can only get to a certain point before my head threatens to explode because I don't Get It. Frames confuse me; all the Javascript I've ever used has been cribbed from someone else (I don't know where I'd be without "view source"), and I've tried and failed to make image maps before. I cannot get it.

So I really can't explain why I signed up for the_lj_reboot. I mean, I can't even freaking figure out how to put a banner in my journal; never mind revamp the whole thing. I have the banner done, colors picked out, and it's the CSS part that is killing me. I don't understand why it's not working. I can't even preview anything and I've copied and pasted the stuff and all! [whine]

Yesterday I heard Mariah Carey's "Say Somethin'" for the first time, and I think it's the first track from The Emancipation of Mimi that I really really like. "It's Like That" was okay, "Shake it Off" left me kind of cold, and I still can't get into "We Belong Together", but I like "Say Somethin'". But question: is Pharrell Williams just in the video for eye candy, or is he doing something else? Did he produce that song? Because otherwise, he's just kind of there.

I changed my work schedule so that I will be working Monday instead of Wednesday. Yeah.

This Tuesday = me seeing Stick It!
