[mumbles to self about Lost recap that I'm writing]
Good GRIEF. LOVED the finale. Even more than season one's, and I loved that one in all of it's messed-upness (even though I was worried that Sawyer had bought the farm near the end).
This one, though? Trippy and crazy and it gave ANSWERS! Yet it still left me shrieking "NOOO DUN DIE [character name here]!!!!!!111"
In parts:
Desmond: HI BROTHA NICE TO SEE YOU AGAIN. I was psyched for the finale as soon as I heard it would feature Desmond flashbacks. I adore him. That first scene when Sayid, Jack, and Sawyer are all pointing the guns down on him on the boat and he's just sitting there stroking the rifle and drinking rum and wearing no pants (was I the only one who caught that?)? Giddiness. I like that he has this epic love story, one that kind of parallels The Oddyssey (as![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

lost_tv). And hee--he made the plane crash. But poor guy--being cooped up in the hatch for like, three/four years and knowing that his girl's waiting for him and he can't leave and almost killing himself and then dealing with Kelvin and everything. And that final scene with the key and him saying "I love you, Penny". DUN DIE, DESMOND HUME, DUN DIE.
The boat: Sayid is hot sailing. That is all. And I was so proud of Sun for going with and taking one of Kate's Frequently Used Lines ("I'm going with you."). But at the end: PEOPLE! WHERE IS SAYID?! AND JIN AND SUN?! HELLOOOOOO?!
Locke and Eko: Damn, Locke. Damn. What happened, dude? You SERIOUSLY messed stuff up, eh? Even though Locke's been kinda testy this season, I kind of hope he doesn't bite it. And Eko? Too awesome to die. So yes, those two and Desmond better not be dead. (especially Desmond)
Charlie and Claire: so, you spend half the season not talking to him, Claire, and then he brings you some unknown vaccine for you and your baby and all is well? Well, okay then. But seriously, the kiss was cute. The Good Ship Charlie Loves Babymama is rising from the depths to sail again!
Michael's List Crew: why'd they cut the scene where Sawyer and Kate talk by the fire? I'm not devastated by it, but c'mon. At least Sawyer now knows Kate wasn't Getting it On with Jack--sometimes getting caught in a net is just that, hon. Yeah. Hi, Renegade Kate, I love you! Hi, creepy Hurley hunting prehistoric bird, you scare the crap out of me! Why didn't everyone line up to take a swat at Michael when he revealed his plan? I wanted Hurley to open up a can of whoop-ass on Mike. I was expecting Sawyer to pick up some of those notebooks for later reading material. Heh. Oh Michael, you will SO be coming back to the island. It's like Hotel California--you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave. Well, unless you die.
The Others: Zeke's real name is Tom. There is an overabundance of Toms in Lost world. Miss Klugh's real name is Bea--like Bea Arthur? Hee.
The questions: IS DESMOND ALIVE?! How about Locke and Eko? Why is Charlie so mellow? Post-traumatic stress disorder, perhaps? Why did The Others let Hurley go? And how come they want only the members of the Triangle of DOOM?!
Possible answer to Last Question: I keep coming back to a sex tape... but that's just wrong. Or... maybe it's all a Grand Breeding Project, seeing as Kate, Sawyer, and Jack all see things (Hurley they eliminated because of psychological problems). Maybe I'm just really twisted for thinking this.
Pictures of my hair tomorrow. I really freaking miss my hair. And my scalp is still red from the color that my stylist used--I think she got a little overzealous.
Idol results: called it. But a question: why does Clay Aiken have emo kid hair?! I'm happy that he's not completely vanished off the face of the earth, though. But still--the hair.
