I have had the weirdest past two days.

Work was kind of a drag on Thursday because the Mavericks lost. And then yesterday, I came to work hours early because I was looking at last week's schedule instead of this week's, and I was there for a whole hour before I realized I had my times wrong. Ooops.

To remedy this, I spent hours wandering the mall.

At first, I went to the bookstore and considered buying something, and decided against it. Then I went to Vanity, this new clothes store. I was pretty much convinced that I wouldn't be able to find anything in there that fit me, because as I've said in the past, I tend to stick to stores where I know I can buy shirts that aren't so tight that I could potentially look like a massive skank, and I wasn't exactly sure about this one yet. So I went around and this really nice salesgirl with several piercings asked me if I needed anything, and she in turn ended up finding me jeans, and what do you know--they fit! I left with a pair of jeans and an orange v-neck t-shirt with little cream-colored stars all over it.

Then I walked down to the other end of the mall and back, and ended up getting pulled over by this lady who was doing a survey for market research or something, and I spent ten minutes doing said survey. They paid me $3 for doing it, and as I left I counted the money and they'd given me $4. I went back to the bookstore and got a book, and started to feel guilty about the other dollar, so I went back to the market research place and gave the dollar back.

And on my lunch break, I actually checked out Steve and Barry's, another newish store at the mall that I hadn't really checked out. I didn't really think much of it at first, but my curiousity got the better of me and I wandered around. Have you ever checked out Old Navy when they have those 50% off of everything 50% off sales? Imagine that, but like... a whole store like that. The sign on one of the doors says everything in there is $7.58 or lower. Jeans. T-shirts. Shoes. Even freaking coats! The whole time I was like, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! and wishing I had more time to look around.

Snarkfest got a mention from Entertainment Weekly!

World Cup = ?! How many hours does the average soccer match last?!

Aw, that's sweet that you gave them back the dollar. I would have felt bad too.

I haven't gone shopping in such a long time due to the fact that I have no money.

We just got a Steve and Barry's a few months ago at the High Point Mall. Umm...actually it was like December. Hmmm...anyway, they have good hoodies/sweatshirts. It replaced the Goody's that we had, so I'm still trying to decide if it is a good thing or not.

Not to bogart Candice's journal, but Guster is my favorite band EVER. I'm wearing a Guster shirt right now, as a matter of fact! Why are we not friends? :)

Guster! I'm so ready for the new album. Yay.

I don't know why we're not...but we should be friends! Added!

We have a Steve and Barry's here in CT... the stuff is okay, but it's not the best quality. The jeans kinda fall apart after a few washings. But the sweatshirts are awesome.

Not bad. That's so nice of you! To return the dollar? Gosh, there are so many people who wouldn't even bother. Were the clothes alright at S&B? Or was it like, kind of cheap? That's an amazing deal. Wow. Is your icon from Monty Python? It's seems really familiar. I heard somewhere that soccer players run like, more than like, 10 miles in one game. Crazyness.

I heart Stever & Barry's.

One of the few places I can fit into a size 12 (when I'm a "13").

As I sit in my S&B's jeans now XD
