Aug. 12th, 2006 07:53 pmYou know, I should actually learn that if you mean to take a hiatus from anything, you should try to avoid them as much as humanly possible. Or something. But this is a minor kind of update.
Y'all, I've seen about three episodes total of Flight 29 Down (and I'm even watching part of the marathon on the Discovery Kids Channel now), but I've come to the conclusion that is really is a kid's version of Lost--only with more survival skills, plenty o' teenage angst, no dog, and no Others. The unofficial leader of the kids is named Jackson, for crying out loud. The boy who wears the hat is so the Sawyer of the bunch, the Asian girl is the Kate, the blonde one is Shannon, the redhaired girl is Claire, and the kid with the curly hair is Sayid. I have yet to decide who the youngest kid is. But seriously.
I went to Blockbuster, where they had four DVDs for $20. The ones I got: Felicity: An American Girls Movie (IT WAS $5 OKAY), Elizabethtown (which I've wanted to see for quite awhile now and come on, $5), Dodgeball, and In Her Shoes. Full report = later.
Finally: scholarship stuff! With the last two weeks I have before classes resume, I will be spending most of my time working on those and actually going to work. I should be back in a right state of mind before then, most likely, so yeah. In the meantime, I'm working on Essay #1, and I'm going to watch one of my movies.
