This just occured to me a few minutes ago, even though I should've seen it coming a long time ago.
Remember how you would have friends who would forward you surveys, or send those sappy chain letters to you, or send you that mail that said if you sent it to five other people you'd get a gift certificate to some store you liked (for me, it was always Old Navy) via e-mail?
Now, people just do that on MySpace. On your "wall" thing (I can't remember what it's called, so I'm using Facebook terms here), people will post those things, or neon-colored sparkly things that say "I <3 U!!!!111!" or something like that. ARRRGH.
I just spent $118 on my biology textbook. OH THE HUMANITY. I repeat: will I ever go through a semester in which I can ONLY buy used books? Is that such a huge request? Geez. On another school-related note: thinking of taking the Film Appreciation class online, as an elective. They, and science credits and the dreaded algebra, are the last things I need to try to scrap together before transferring.
And let's not talk about that. [sad face]
...and to think, five years ago, all I was worried about was a date for homecoming. Ten, and I was worried about what he thought of me, after I did the whole pouring-water-on-his-head thing.
