According to this book, no one cares about this, but I don't care. Surely someone else out there has felt this way.
I am seeking The Perfect Salad.
I've been obsessed with finding a good, big, yummy salad for about a week now. Most of this is due to the fact that I'm worried I'm gonna run out of luck and I'll stop losing weight (I still need new pants, and my check this week was small, so--no pants!), but most of it is also due to the fact that I need to eat more vegetables. It's just common sense now.
I like veggies, actually. I can't stand broccoli, though, because of years of my dad cooking it to the point of limpness. I can tolerate raw broccoli, but steamed makes me feel a little queasy. My favorites are carrots and celery, and if I can, I'll eat red bell peppers by themselves because they are so good.
But the thing is, I can't think of a single place where I could get a big, really good salad that's not doused with those bread crumb thingers and cheese, and all I want is just the vegetables and maybe some chicken or something. In my junior year of high school, I'd get the $1.75 chicken cheese salad and an orange juice, and I'd crumble up my crackers and it was awesome, plus I always had money left over (I sound cheap. God). But those days are gone, and I can't think of a good salad-having place besides McDonald's, and the friggin' salads there are as much as a Big Mac meal or something.
I got to watch Heroes (I taped it last night; was at work), and OH MY GOD THAT LAST SCENE AUUUGH OMGWTF.
