Because yes, #2 might've recently happened to me, and because I'm kind of curious about what does/doesn't count, as some people whine about this all the time in communities.
I checked off that EVERYTHING is a spoiler until I see/read it myself, but I suppose there could be some things I don't care about. If I don't plan on seeing the movie or whatever its not such a big deal. Vague hints and screams of "OMG!" drive me nuts because that is all I will be thinking about instead of concentrating on the actual episode.
I haven't had anyone on my friendslist spoil me for something, but I have been spoiled by someone on a message board. I'm always behind on seeing movies and even certain tv shows (Angel and Dawson's Creek, for example) I still haven't seen the finale's because of conflicts going on at the actual time and not catching repeats or whatever.
::knocks on wood that I don't get spoiled for those shows now::

It's a tv show. It's not the end of the world.
"OMG! Martin Sheen is on Survivor! I can't believe it!"
Again. It's a TELEVISION SHOW. GET THE HELL OVER IT. WORRY ABOUT SOMETHING IMPORTANT.
I had to use the capslock of rage there. Sorry.
