dreaming someone else's dream.
Nov. 25th, 2006 10:18 pmI survived Black Friday, only to have today be worse than that. Granted, I worked nine hours yesterday, but today just felt more hectic and rushed. Plus, I ended up backing one of the greeters for about an hour and a half, and my feet started to hurt. Fortunately, this was at the end of my shift.
I came home yesterday and all but passed out. There was food at work, so my mom kept asking if I was hungry, and I said no. So I just went to chill in bed for a little while. I tried to watch Bruce Almighty (which I have sadly been wanting to see for forever) but I kept dozing. Finally I just gave up and fell completely asleep. When I woke up, it was past midnight, so everything was futile. I fell asleep again and had surreal dreams.
In one of them, I was kissing this guy who was from the early twentieth century--I guess I'd time-traveled or something and we fell in love and I decided I had to see him again or something weird like that--and we were standing near the front porch of my grandma's house. There was also something involving old muscle cars and back seats.
In the other dream, Vanessa Williams was my aunt, and there was some plot involving someone wanting to kill her. In this one, my mom, brother, and I were driving around in a black SUV like we were the Winchesters or something, protecting people. There was a standoff with a stalker in Home Depot, and I was apparently upset with myself for resisting the advances of a cute guy who was interested in me, yet I'd not done the same for a less-deserving guy.
Do you ever wonder that reccuring things in your dreams might manifest themselves in real life? Does that sound too spaced-out hippie to you?
Even though I've got to work tomorrow, I feel more relaxed about the rest of the weekend for some reason.
