Barnes and Noble is having a Buy One DVD Box Set, get the second free sale that is on through the thirtieth, so a few days ago I finally got the second season of Lost and the first season of House, for both my mom and I, because though we love the show, we never really got around to watching all of the first season. And since Mom semi-finally got caught up on S1 of Lost, we've got the second season ready to go whenever we both have time.
It's weird--I feel closer to my mom now than I did when I was younger. For some reason, there was a short time when I was a kid when I was afraid of my mom. She started working full-time again when I started kindergarten and my brother was in preschool, and then she began to work a lot more--overtime and everything. My dad was the parent who was around the most, as he was the one with the nine-to-five job, the one who took us to school most mornings and brought us home most afternoons and made dinner and stuff. I don't know if I was so much afraid of my mom, though. It was strange. We used to fight a lot, and now, we still do have disagreements about semi-petty things (like cleaning and folding clothes, of all things), but I'm more forthcoming with her.
How I went from TV to my mom is beyond me.
But anyway: I hope Ava on Supernatural isn't evil. I really hope not. She is awesome. I say that, and I'm even one of those people who wasn't horribly offended by Jo.
And: Dear Daddy Winchester (RIP), way to totally ruin Dean for life. I love you and look out for your brother, he might turn evil, and if he does? Kill 'im.
