I've talked about handwriting before, right? That I'm a little into graphology? I think I even did that online handwriting analysis thing and accidentally started a meme a long time ago or something. Eh.

But anyway--I was scanning some stuff from old journals, and am kind of amazed.

That is what my cursive was like when I was nine. Wow, it's super-slanted.

Handwriting at eleven. Look at the capital I's! And how much more upright the cursive is!

Printing at twelve. This is the first entry from my seventh grade journal; the first one I wrote semi-completely in print.

From fourteen. I feel like the one from when I was twelve looked a little neater.

Seventeen. This is more or less how I kind of write now.

Yeah, I'm kind of weird. I know.

You're not weird at all.
I have a handwriting fetish too.
I hate mine.

That is fantastic!! :)

Your rant as a twelve year old is absolutely HILARIOUS. To think that our biggest problems as kids would be so trivial, like covering books. Then life gets more complex. At any rate, I love the handwriting analysis. I'd do the same, plainly out of curiosity, but half of my journals and notebooks from my younger years are at home.

Nobody handwrites when they get older.

18 and still going. Then again, I'm strange.

Re: Your "age 12" sample: You should be glad you HAD lockers in 7th grade! We only had them in high school. And for P.E. in middle school, if we wanted to pay for one (a lot of people split them). Otherwise, we had to carry everything around for six classes. And of course it was only cool to wear your backpack on one shoulder.. so in middle school my shoulders were literally visibly uneven. Luckily they evened themselves back out over time.

I like your 17-year-old handwriting. So I guess I like your now handwriting.

I think I might pull out my old journalish things and steal this idea.. if that's OK. =)

I like looking at handwriting, but most of graphology looks like a pseudoscience to me. I think it's possible to use handwriting to identify people (the idea behind signatures), but not too much beyond that.

Wow. Your writing at nine looks a lot like mine now.

I adore looking at pictures of people's handwriting! It's so neat that you have old journals from when you were so young. I didn't keep journals when I was that young, but I did write stories. However, all my writing from before I was fourteen was destroyed. It's unfortunate, but it is what it is.

Thanks for posting this!
