enamouredOh dear God, the theme of the new US passports are way too ostentatious for my tastes.
I saw The Invasion last night, and I liked it--no, not just for Daniel Craig, but because it terrified the crap out of me (because I am a bit of a wuss). The thing is, as far as movies scaring me, it has to be able to be psychological. Give me things popping out of dark corners over someone chopping off someone's head (...okay, that can be scary too. I rewatched 28 Days Later a few weeks ago and ARRRGH IT STILL CREEPS ME OUT SO MUCH. BUT IT'S SO GOOD). But yeah, I pretty much agree with the Dallas Morning News assessment of it (and they gave it a B+, so judging from what I hear, that's better than a lot of other reviews, but anyway).
Tax free weekend sucks out loud. I don't even want to talk about it in depth. There were far too many people in the store today, so many that they actually opened ALL THE REGISTERS (they didn't even do that at Christmas) and for a while, it felt like we were crammed wall-to-wall in the department. I pity the new people who started this week, for they have to learn during the worst shopping days of the year.
