Oct. 3rd, 2007 09:23 pmAh, TV! How you make me happy.
Re: Pushing Daisies
I like this show a lot. It's so pretty and cinematic! But how are they going to keep on drawing out the relationship between Ned and Chuck? It should be interesting. And Chi McBride as the private investigator is awesome (though I saw Undercover Brother over the weekend and keep thinking about that one part when he was all, "I'm too old for this shit" for some reason).
Re: Gossip Girl
I've been working most of my Wednesdays, so I have to watch the first two episodes at the CW website. Anyway. Blair on the show just might be a bigger bitch than she was in the books. I never was able to sympathize with her at all, and still can't. Her faux-calling out Serena just because she had sex with Nate and faking a leg injury? I spent half the episode screeching "PUNCH HER IN THE FACE!" at the screen.
I like Blake Lively as Serena now. Still am on Team Serena.
I am also on Team Dan. I liked the Serena/Dan plot that happened early in the book series; they played off each other well and when book!Dan wasn't being all broody and semi-obsessive, they were seriously cute. My Penn Badgley love goes back to Do Over, which was seriously awesome, so I think that has something to do with it. Nate is okay, but Blair can keep him.
Matthew Settle's Rufus? Dude, remember when he was in I Still Know What You Did Last Summer? He is, at least, an upgrade from book!Rufus, who I always pictured as being kind of husky and Jerry Garcia-esque.
Finally: the Constance Billard girls singing "Glamorous" all prim and choir-like in assembly? AHAHAHAHAHA WHAT.

Date: 2007-10-04 02:50 pm (UTC)I burst out in OMGWTF giggles when I saw them singing Glamorous.
Why hasn't Serena punched Blair in the face SERIOUSLY? If anyone was asking for a bitchslap it's Blair. Or perhaps Chuck, but he would like it.

Date: 2007-10-04 03:03 pm (UTC)It's such an original story. I love the idea of it. And I love Chuck & Ned. They're so cute, not being able to touch one another.
I'm excited to see what they do with the show. And yeah--the cinematic aspect? Gorgeous.
