enamoured | monday afternoon, slightly dampened jeans on.

I woke up this morning to rain coming down in torrents and lightning. I also woke up at 7:40, and usually by that time on a Monday morning I would be dressed and out the door. But the rain kept coming and the wind was doing that scary whooshing thing is does in Texas, so I just got dressed and waited for it to stop raining so hard.

I think I left the house about 8:30 or so. I threw on my dad's green raincoat because I didn't have an umbrella in the house. It's too big for me, of course; my dad's six-two and I'm five-seven. I stopped to get coffee because my throat hurts and I've been coughing all morning.

And then I get to the lecture hall and find out that class had been canceled.

So I go hang out by the computers in the library and wait it out until bowling. And then I get to bowling, and it too has been canceled.

...okay, I am fine with this. But I could've still been in bed if I had checked my school e-mail. And I NEVER HAVE A CHANCE TO CHECK MY E-MAIL IN THE MORNING. I'm usually too sleepy and too busy trying to wake myself up and eat and get out the door in a timely manner to, and booting up my laptop and logging on and everything is too time-consuming, seriously. I don't even know if my Intro to Broadcast class in cancelled yet, but I should probably check my mail again and see, because I could totally go home now if it is.

And my MP3 player is serving me up a lot of songs that I haven't heard in forever; I think I just got about half of *NSYNC's Celebrity. God, it's been six years since that came out.
