Wednesday night, turning in early

enamouredGod, Gossip Girl just totally made me want to go to a masquerade ball. The masks were so PRETTY.
It's official: I like the show WAY MORE than the books, even when I nitpick them. I still want to check out It Had to Be You, even though I don't know if I really want to deal with my ideas about the pre-first book canon being shattered.
Like I said before: the actress playing Vanessa is gorgeous. I loved those sneakers she was wearing whenever she first showed up at the Humphreys'. I think they're definitely changing her up from being a deep, broody hipster to something a little different, but it's all right with me. I even kind of dug her doorknocker earrings.
I know it's wrong of me to like both Serena and Dan AND Rufus andWhatever-Serena's-Mom's Name Is Lily, but I like them both so much.
Once again: show!Jenny > book!Jenny. I continue to love Chuck's evilness for some reason, and am still hoping vaguely that he and Blair will get together and be evil together. As soon as I saw he had on that devil mask, I was all, "OH, CHUCK." Give me a week, and I'll have "Chuck is a Basshole" written down somewhere or on a t-shirt or on an icon or somethin'.
They really are going to drag this "will they or won't they?" thing with Blair and Nate on for FOREVER like they did in the books, aren't they? God. At least Blair isn't thisclose to jumping every guy who comes into view. And Nate just needs to get over Serena, seriously. And I am mostly saying that because I am all for the Blair/Chuck (IS THERE FAN FICTION OUT THERE?! I am kind of scared to check for myself, considering the target audience, but surely there has to be at least one good story with those two out there. Oh, and some Rufus/Lily too).
I have to watch Pushing Daisies later, and I am now three weeks behind on Heroes, which is unfortunate because I am missing crazy, brain-eating Sylar like whoa. Why does the villain gotta be so hot? Seriously. (Seriously! I think that is my new word.)
Also: I signed up for intermural kickball. My team's first game is on Sunday. That is, if we have competitors--I think we're one of the few (if not the only) coed teams, so we may or may not have someone to play against. Crikey.
And finally: test condoms, win $1000.
