enamouredEarly this morning, I had a slight break in sanity and decided to make a feeble attempt at cleaning out my closet. Not completely--there's still a ton of stuff I've got to get out and things I'm debating on donating (really, why do I need my childhood Barbies still? I know I feel tempted to play with them sometimes, but COME ON--unless someone wants said Barbies. I'll totally send them to you!). But then I found some things I forgot I had: two pairs of boots my mom gave me, the heels I wore to my prom, the strapless conversion bra I wore to my prom, and at least three pairs of gloves and mittens and a few scarves.
I also found the leopard print coat I got for Christmas when I was fourteen, and threw it into the bag of "stuff to go away". I also found my platform sneakers that were like, the height of coolness for a while in middle school. I filled up two more bags of clothes that needed to go, including about 2/5ths of the t-shirts and polo shirts I own. I can actually open and close my drawers without much of a struggle now! And I can walk into the closet! Short of the other junk I have to get rid of, my mom might actually keel over at that.
Am on 5200+ words. I'm trying hard not to mentally compare this to The Novel Writing of '05, because A.) I had way more free time then, and B.) I ended up not finishing the story but hitting 50K. So I'm going a little slower because I actually have an ending in mind, and I'd like to completely finish before the end of the month this time around.
THEY ARE ADDING MORE NORTH AMERICAN TOUR DATES TO THE SPICE GIRLS TOUR, OMG. And in these new promotional pictures they've got, Mel C. looks a little bit like Chuck from Pushing Daisies--well, to me, anyway.
And speaking of concerts: Kelly Clarkson will be in town during Thanksgiving, and Stevie Wonder is going to be here five days before my birthday. WANT TO GO TO BOTH.
