enamoured: the cast of Flash Forward (1996). (spin to a beautiful oblivion)

1. My MP3 player is on the fritz again. Dammit.

2. Ben Foster got robbed for a Best Supporting Actor nomination. He was stealing scenes left and right in 3:10 to Yuma. That's all I have, re: Oscar nominations.

3. I need to check out the 4 for $20 table at Blockbuster soon. I want to get Zodiac since it's supposed to be really good, and I feel vaguely tempted to actually watch Hairspray, even though I've avoided it strictly because of my dislike of Zac Efron.

4. Last week, I happened to mention to the store manager that I had auditioned for American Idol. On Saturday, my manager paged me and told me to call his extension. When I did, he asked if it was true. Honestly, I'm surprised that he hasn't asked me to randomly burst into song at one point.

5. I have had the longest running sinus infection ever. I've been sniffling in some way, shape, or form for nearly three weeks now.

6. This one radio station here has a noon section called the Retro Lunch. They play songs from the '80s and the '90s. There is nothing more disconcerting than listening to them play "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" by Areosmith and knowing that someone has officially deemed that retro.

7. For some unknown reason, I have recently started listening to Girls Aloud. I like them.

Wow, $5 DVDs. And I recommend hairspray even though Zac is in it. It's pretty good, I think. And Amanda Bynes is in it, and I love her.

I can't stand Zac Efron, but I really liked Hairspray!

Zodiac is great. As is Hairspray, if you are into musicals. I'm indifferent to Efron, and he didn't bother me at all.

I didn't even know about the Oscar noms today! I loved whenever I had a chance to watch them live (either while in college early in the morning, or while in Germany when it was after school)

What city did you audition in?

I auditioned in Dallas--they showed the auditions there last week (but I was in none of the clips, woe).

Did you get to see the big 3?

I didn't make it that far--I just got to the primary cattle-call style audition. I did see a bunch of people go through, plus these two guys who were amazing at the table next to me. I definitely remember seeing the girl who was dressed like a witch and the guy with the Sanjaya-like hair style (he was carrying around a sign that said "DANJAYA" the whole time), and I vaguely remember seeing the guy with dreads at one point.
