Lost Madness! It works like the March Madness bracket system. So much fun!
Christopher Moore has finished his eleventh novel! WHEEE. I started rereading Lamb again last night--or, at least the first part, because the first line of the first chapter is one of my favorite book quotes ever. I did that last year around Easter too. I spent so many years going to watch Stations of the Cross (and later, actually singing in the choir during it), and somehow, by reading about Biff's adventures with Josh, I am attempting to... do something. I don't know.
Speaking of Easter: I know there's a system or something about when Easter will be, but I tend to dislike March Easters. It feels too early, and I tend to associate Easter with April because of my brother's birthday. He was born on a Good Friday, so my mind usually tends to go "Easter --> brother's birthday". I can't believe he's going to be twenty this year. D:
I'm going to NC next week. The thing is, now when I go back I tend to feel really melancholy about it. Time goes on and people change, but I really miss going back and knowing that I could actually call someone up and maybe hang out with them. Now everyone's moved or is away at school and it feels like I was never really there if that makes sense. I hate that, because it's home and it always will be, but I also feel kind of disenfranchised about it (if that makes sense). I would totally send someone a message on Facebook and be like, "Hey, I'm going to be in town, want to go get something to eat at least?", but it's been a while and I'm afraid that someone would be weirded out. Is there etiquette for this--looking to see if someone you haven't seen in a few years would want to hang out with you?
(This song makes me LOL so much and I don't know why.)
Also: Everyone has things they blog about. Everyone has things they don't blog about. Challenge me out of my comfort zone by telling me something I don't blog about, but you'd like to hear about, and I'll respond via comments. Ask for anything: latest movie watched, last book read, political leanings, thoughts on yaoi, favorite type of underwear, graphic techniques, etc. Repost in your own journal so that we can all learn more about each other!
