I need to work on that script, seriously.
Jul. 27th, 2008 10:30 pmI was at Borders yesterday (I bought a book that contains lists made by other people for something like $3.99 and the new issue of Wired, which I really want a subscription to), and I was walking out when I saw their Breaking Dawn/Twilight themed display table. The three books are there, along with the Borders Exclusive calendar, candy fangs, a book called The Vampire Survival Guide*, and, I kid you not, CDs for The Bella Cullen Project.
I... just. There are no words.
Wait, yes there are: WHY. WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY.
(*: I WANT THAT BOOK. It will totally help me write my Hypothetical Vampire Show script.)
Here's something weird for you. A week ago I couldn't sleep, so I turned on my TV and watched the end of Cheaters, and then this infomercial comes on. They were selling one of those "Best of '70s and '80s R&B" CD compliation sets, and I actually watched the whole thing then slept fine. All of those songs made me remember listening to the radio in my mom's car when I was little, and therefore, they prove to be very soothing to me for some odd reason.
So, what are some of your favorite old school songs?

Date: 2008-07-28 07:11 am (UTC)Anything and everything by Journey, Duran Duran, and Hall & Oates are a given, so I won't even go there.
"Ventura Highway" by America and "Babe" by Styx are probably my top picks for right now.
This was hard as most of my favorite songs came from the 70's and 80's(which is not old school in my books).
